RC Dhanmondi Central is sparkling and sprinkling for the rotary world. Was Chartered in June 2015 with a bunch of members in diversity. Thrust and the big push from the then DG Safina Rahman was the very instrumental and tremendous encouragement for me to organize such a wonderful rotary club of Dhanmondi Central. I owe to my friends and family members along with the leaders in rotary from home and abroad for their inspirational support all the way to proceed. I hope the incremental leadership in quality@ Dhanmondi Central is going to make it a better place for the rotary clubs and families.

With Dr. Md. Manowar Hossain, while working out in gym once in a fine morning we were discussing about Rotary and it’s world wide contribution and proposed him to be one of the members of Rotary family along with Munirul Alam bhai. Being convinced he took one day for his decision and came back on the following day with a positive feedback, and confirmed to be a Rotarian.  He is very generous, gentle, active and very famous in his profession and after all a very simple sophisticated personality and the very first person to whom I approached to be a Rotarian for the then proposed club Dhanmondi Central. Inspite of being so occupied, his commitment was precious and inspiring for me to go forward very quick.

In course of time 7 other members of his family joined in Rotary and taking very active participation in all our projects.

Dr. Khaleda Nasreen, spouse of Dr. Md. Manowar Hossain is an ophthalmologist by profession and very active member in our club . She participates regularly in various projects, she treats villagers, students in our RCC day long several times.Two sons of this couple Dr. Saeem Arafat Hossain and Dr. Fahim Arafat Hossain also joined in our club.

Md. Munirul Alam, another member of our club is also my gym mate friend and we had regular interaction and approached him in similar way and he consented to be a Rotarian . He is very social, involved in cultural activity , truly a calculative businessman. We were actively involved in Group Theatre Federation during our University life. After my proposal he accepted gladly and become a member of the club. He is our IPP.

Shafiul Alam Uzzwal & Md. Amanul Hoque Kanak:  apart from gym I approached my two partners of Modern Hospital and Diagnostics Centre, where my nephew Uzzwal and Kanak were igniting, about the Rotary and formation of the club. They responded instantly as both of them are ex- Rotaract. I observed the bright eyes and happy smiles that engulfed me to move more faster. Now they became two strong members of the club. One is running President and another one is President Elect.

RCC of the club being established in Kanak’s native village in 2016 and he is giving tremendous effort in all projects there. Rtn. Kanak is the master of implementation of “Hepatitis zero” project where I am ambassador.

Once while thinking about the lady member, suddenly it came to my mind about Sharmin Imam Hoque spouse of Md. Amanul Hoque engaged in economic forum. I invited her in a meeting and she joined in the club and took the responsibility of presenting a nice souvenir for our 1st installation which was very much appreciated by all the PDGs, senior Rotarians and DG SAM Showket Hossain.

In course of time other partners of Hospital Md. Serazul Islam, Engr. Zafor Ahammed, Abul Murshed Ribon joined.

Alvee, son of Late Maqsudul Huq Serajee, Chairman MCL group and his wife Dr. Sabicoon Nahar became the members of the club being influenced with the relationship and referrals of Rotary good works.

Rashed ul Bashar; who is working with me from many years and helped me aiding up in so many ways while I was in RC Dhaka South. He is a dedicated and smart worker of Rotary became learned enough before being the member of the club attracted him undoubtedly.

Once I was chatting with Barrister Rafiq regarding good works of Rotary and my moto about the club. He shows keen interest and joined. 

In this way many new faces joined. Mahmuda Akter Ety, my friend’s son Moktadir.

Inspired by the good works and ethics of Rotary , Chairman of Medinova Medical Services Md. Mozammel  Hossain joined in the club. Among other siblings of Dr. Manowar Hossain, Mahfuza Khanam and her spouse Dr. Akter Hossain also joined.

My business partner Engr. Md. Jahid Hossain and his spouse Nadia Afrin also our club mates now. 

My friend Zaid Siddiqui, Alamin along with Dr. Qazi Iqbql, Dr. Siddiqur Rahman, Dr. Moniruzzaman and his wife Dr. SayedaTun Nessa, Dr. Masudul Hasan also became members and actively participating in our projects. 

Most Importantly to mention about our beloved charming character and nationally recognized and awarded very well known popular figure non other than Md Saidul Haque Sadi is very contributing member of our Club.
